Scroungy Moose Pizza

This is by far one of the best experiences I've ever had with a small business, and pizza. Calling in our order, we started to order a few pizzas. The owner was the one taking our order. He informed us that it would be cheaper a different way and it would feel a few more people. He told us that he was trying to save us some money that way. I've never had a small business do this before. Second, walking in to the business, it was very small, clean and quaint. However, prior to even walking in he had our order ready at the counter after taking it off the heat which kept it hot. We talked with him and he even asked what kind of crusts we like. Doughy, fluffy and crispy or thin and crispy. You can tell he has a lot of passion for his pizzas and he takes care of customers. Now I can tell you that not only was the pizza more than enough and filling. It was by far one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We order a 12 inch cheese. I'm not a fan of just cheese but I'm in love with that one. And we also order the XL pizza half frontier half meaty moose. Every bit of it was hot, yummy, soft and doughy and crispy bottom. You can taste that the pizza was fire cooked, dough homemade and toppings fresh and tasty. This is probably going to be our weekly stop for pizza. The business does only take cash or check. So make sure you are prepared. However, it is so worth the drive and step of getting cash out. I can't wait to go back to check out his gallery next time. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

For less than 20, we got a delicious pizza to feed us for three days. No skimping on toppings here, and the owner is a great guy! Takeout only and cash- well worth the stop!

Wow! What great food and what a great atmosphere! Carry out only but that gave us more time to discover a hidden gem. We were staying overnight in Kemmerer and the motel recommended Scroungy Moose. Glad they did! Check out the photo gallery, examine the full wall 3-d topo map and ask about the proprietor's life experiences. I'll drive 2000 miles again for this. Didn't spend enough time the first visit!!

Fantastic find! Well priced fantastic pizza. Owner was a treat to chat with. But the best part was the mushrooms! (Inside joke) seriously, this was a great meal and lunch for the next day! For less than 20!! Thanks!

Great pizza. The crust is thicker but I like that. The owner is a gem to talk to if you pick up the order.

10/10 SO AMAZING! The pizza is delicious and the owner (I'm assuming - I should have gotten his name, I'm terrible about that) is so super kind and welcoming!!!! This is the best pizza I've had in a long time, quite possibly the best pizza ever! I will gladly make the trip from Rock Springs just to go here!! They are cash or check only and takeout only right now, so make sure you hit the ATM before ordering and have a nice cozy spot to enjoy the best pizza of the day your life. It's a good thing I don't live here or I would be having pizza every single night! It's THAT GOOD!!! THANK YOU! Such a much needed and delicious break from chain restaurants. I'll be back!!

SO GOOD!! It's a little pizza place with no seating, and (be prepared) cash only. It takes about a half hour to get your pizza ready-- enough time to run to the Maverick in town for enough cash. Order first, then go for the cash if you need to. The owner runs it by himself, so he's harried sometimes, but he LOVES making amazing pizza. I give him five stars, but I don't think he'd ever give himself that. He should. REALLY good pizza. We'll worth an hour drive from Evanston. We had the Wapiti. One 16" was plenty for 4 people. I will be craving The Scroungy Moose Pizza until my dying day.

Absolutely love scroungy moose! It is by far the best pizza in town!! All of the toppings are fresh fresh. The price is great too!! Love showing up to get my pizza and seeing all the decorations, seeing all the old pictures & learning all the history of scroungy!! Tracy is such an amazing person and wonderful to talk too. Highly recommend 10/10
